Christ's Royal Ministry in Establishing the Heavenly Kingdom: As Physician, Shepherd, and Lord of the Harvest

Matthew 9:11-13 "When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, 'Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?' On hearing this, Jesus said, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick... For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'"

Matthew 8:2-4 "A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, 'Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.' Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man, 'I am willing,' he said, 'Be clean!' Immediately he was cleansed."

Matthew 9:35-36 "Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd."

Matthew 9:2-8 "Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, 'Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.'... 'But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.'"

John 10:11-15 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep... I know my sheep and my sheep know me."

Matthew 9:37-38

"Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'"

1 Corinthians 3:6-9

"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow... For we are God's co-workers."
